It’s been two weeks since I was in my car accident, which is surprising to me. Even though I have been sitting around doing very little, the time has gone by pretty quickly. And even though it has been two weeks, and i have been out of the hospital for 10 days, we have made only slight progress as far as getting things resolved so i can get back to work.

Since I was on the job when this happened, it was filed as a worker’s compensation claim, which is one of the most awful systems I have had to deal with. Fortunately, my mother is taking care of most of this stuff, since she knows a bit more about the system than I do. Some doctors refuse to see you if you are a workers comp case, becuase it is such a headache with all the paperwork involved. Some will see you, but only once you jump through a thousand hoops.
