“Goshwara” means flawless silhouette, perfection of beauty, and also the ideal shape of a tear drop. Designer Sweta Jain chose this as the name of her brand as it embodies and symbolizes her own design aesthetic and her family’s legacy of being known for cutting some of the finest gemstones in the world.
Sweta grew up in Jaipur and Mumbai, where her love of gems developed at an early age. Her family were purveyors of gemstones to the finest jewelry houses around the globe. Sweta would often accompany her father to African mines and there should learned the process of mining rough gems and the process of manufacturing them.
As she matured into a young woman, Sweta explored numerous interests that led her to become a certified pilot, artist, and photographer. However, it was her young love for gemstones that led her to her calling. After moving to the United States, she enrolled in the Fashion Institute of Technology to study jewelry design.
Sweta is inspired by architecture, nature and most often the unique beauty of the individual gemstones she selects for her vast collection of one-of-kind pieces.
