With a design language inspired by the shapes, colors, and patterns distinctive to her ancestors in the African Diaspora, Godfrey’s work reflects figurative references to block printing and weaving from cultures long ago, bringing a sense of history to her modern-day precious heirlooms.

Lauren has most recently been awarded the 2022 GEM Award for Jewelry Design, the prestigious membership into the CFDA, and a spot on Vogue’s “The United States of Fashion” Atlas. She resides in the San Francisco Bay area with husband and son.
