Graziela Kaufman hand-designs every piece, a practice she learned at a young age from her grandfather. Graziela grew up in Brazil learning about many of the natural resources the country has to offer. She fondly reflects that her backyard was a ‘gemological treasure’.  The designer traveled to many different mining towns throughout Brazil learning about the fascinating history behind every stone that would ultimately be the inspiration for her future collection.

Graziela moved to the United States more than 20 years ago and now resides in Chicago with her husband and four sons. The designer supports safe and ethical mining and is a passionate advocate for animal rights.
