Founded in 1941, Sauer is one of Brazil’s most prominent and distinguished jewelers. A three-time recipient of the prestigious De Beers Diamond International Award, the brand is renowned worldwide for its gemstones and design in fine jewelry.

In 1939 18-year-old Frenchman Jules Sauer fled Europe during World War II and Nazi persecution and settled in Rio de Janeiro.  Jules fell in love with the colorful and enigmatic world of gemstones, founded his business in 1941 and set forth a new course for his story and legacy in Brazil. 

Stephanie Wenk, Sauer’s third generation at the helm, took over as creative director in 2013. The design visionary is responsible for simultaneously updating and preserving the 80-year-old Brazilian brand’s DNA, carrying it into the 21st century with an expressively contemporary approach. 

Stephanie’s work profoundly explores the female identity, celebrating and empowering women.
